With St. Joseph’s feast day approaching on March 19, this week is a great time to begin a novena to the patron of the universal Church. Traditionally, novenas are prayed during the nine days before a feast, either ending on the day before or the day of.
Here are three great options:
- Starting Thursday! A preached novena at Mass in honor of St. Joseph. The novena will be livestreamed here from the Carmelite Friars at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
- Another St. Joseph novena option, this time from the Norbertines at the National Shrine of St. Joseph in De Pere, Wisconsin.
- And a third novena option, from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Wondering why you should pray a novena? We have that answer here, too.
